Rules & Conditions of Entry

 Internet Lounge

While you are our guest at CyberStrike, we would like you to follow a few simple common sense rules.

Any direction given to you by CyberStrike staff must be followed promptly. If at any time a CyberStrike employee deems that you are in violation of our rules, they are authorised to take the action required to correct the situation. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • asking you to rectify the situation;
  • asking you to leave CyberStrike;
  • suspending or cancelling your membership without any refund; or
  • reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities.

These 10 basic rules are to ensure that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience at CyberStrike:

  1. Illegal activity of any kind will not be tolerated inside or outside of CyberStrike. If we become aware of your involvement in illegal activity, we will call the Police, terminate your membership, and ban you from the facility. This specifically includes theft, vandalism, drug use, software piracy, and attempting to break network or physical security.
  2. Respect CyberStrike premises and equipment at all times and treat it with care, taking all reasonable measures to prevent damage. Leave the equipment how you found it and if it wasn't in good shape when you found it, please let us know.
  3. Excessive use of offensive language is not acceptable. CyberStrike has a wide range of members and casual customers who should not have to be exposed to rough language.
  4. You are not allowed to bring any food or drinks into CyberStrike. We have food and drinks available for purchase at the front counter which may be consumed at the tables in the rest area. If you want something else, you must go somewhere else to consume it.
  5. No food is ever allowed at the computers! Drinks are OK as long as they have a lid or are in a can, and you take care not to spill them. In the event of an accidental spillage, notify the staff immediately.
  6. Threatening behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes verbal or physical threats, provoking a fight or argument, or using derogatory or hateful names.
  7. Do not do anything to reasonably impair another person's enjoyment of their games. This includes shouting, interfering with their equipment or person, or continually bothering them in any way.
  8. Cheating in the games is not allowed. This includes using cheating software external to the game, or exploiting significant bugs in the game itself to gain an unfair advantage that was not intended by the game designer. Cheaters will be asked to leave, be disqualified from any events, and possibly be banned from future events or from CyberStrike.
  9. Rough play, running, fighting, and any activity that could cause injury to people or damage to the premises or equipment at CyberStrike is not allowed.
  10. If you bring any personal property into CyberStrike you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. We cannot and will not be held liable for any loss or expense, including theft of or damage to equipment or data, and loss of time.

Please note that CyberStrike reserves the right to monitor all activity on our computers to ensure that members and guests do not access pornographic sites or engage in other inappropriate behaviour.
